I was standing outside the house when the little boy walked up, "it's haunted." he said. "really?" "Ya, you gonna go in" he asked with a smug smile. "no, how about you?" I smiled as his smug look wavered. "i'm not afraid of this place!" he replied, i could see the fear behind the lie. " i dare you."I said. he just looked at me a moment, "i'm not afraid" he whispered more to himself than to me as he walked up the steps, he turned and gave me a defiant look and then stepped thru the door. When the screams started I was already vanishing with the breeze, Haunted house indeed
