Betty's Nutty Afternoon (see description)

"Oh, the masquerade party is starting. I better hurry. I think I'll take the short cut through the woods" said Betty. Now Betty knew that strange things can happen in them woods. Was she prepared for what could happen. Slowly she walked through the woods as quite as she could. Then she heard something. I wonder what it could be, she thought. Looked around her everywhere she heard it again. She was very quite. Thinking to herself, that it sounded like someone laughing, but she don't see anyone. "Hello, is anybody there? Hello." She spoke out loud in a frightened voice. There was no reply. She continued walking. Finally she could see daylight at the edge of the woods. "I'm safe!" she said out loud, with a sigh. Then she could hear the laughter louder and something hit her head. She turned around as fast as she could. There he was...a little mischief squirrel throwing nuts at her. There were several other squirrels laughing as they watched them hit her head, over and over again. "Now stop that you nutty squirrel. You're going to make me late for the party." Then off she went, thinking of what a story this will be. The lesson here is, Don't trust a nutty squirrel, in the crazy acre woods. ~Cavie Jane (10/04/2009)
