I remember that beautiful, hot summer and even that weekend and the news footage, watching it with my parents. It was the best time to be a young girl, just getting ready to start high school. The news channels didn't really show the 'bad' side of Woodstock. Maybe for many, we needed something to believe in, A HALF MILLION PEOPLE COMING TOGETHER FOR A FREE CONCERT, with Stars like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix...THIS WAS UNHEARD OF...I WAS ALIVE IN THE SUMMER OF 1969, and I am so glad. I think todays youth could use a Woodstock of their own. Put down those texters,cell phones,computers,head phones....go out and SET YOUR SOUL FREE "We are Stardust we are golden And we've got to get ourselves back to the Garden...."
