I had to tell you about this poor little guy as I believe his story shows how the captive industry think, they care nothing for the animals at all, they are just 'products' to be bought and sold. In 1979 a single orca was captured off the coast of Iceland, he should have still been feeding from his mother, but he was sent Hafnarfjordur Aquarium where he waited to be sold. Three months after his capture he was sent to Germany to be put in 'storage' as Hafnarfjordur had more orca coming in and they needed the space. From there he was sent to Connyland in Switzerland where he lived for around a year. The park did not look after him well, he was sick and his skin was exfoliating and training a golden colour and he had lesions appearing . Many liked it but the staff worried, rather than help him get well, in 1981 he was put up for sale again. His final home was Aquarama on parade, a travelling circus in Mexico. Dzul ha lived with the circus for around a year travelling across Mexico. The circus was open from early morning until late at night where he would perform in brightly lit tanks with dolphins, sharks and other sea creatures, he was hailed as the 'Mexican Shamu'. In 1983 he started to appear ill no one knows if the lesions were the cause of his sickness, but he disappeared from there. No one knows exactly when he died, where he died or what he died from but presume it was in 1983 as he was never seen after that. He was only 5 years old. A sad, short and lonely life inflicted on him by the caring people of the captive industry.
