2012 DOOMSDAY PROPHECY for Media Madness Group 1-1-12 As the sun comes up on the new year, we can only speculate about what unexpected twists and turns 2012 has in store. Since the mid-1970s,authors have speculated that the world would end in 2012. As various theories took shape, that speculation came to focus on the winter solstice — Dec. 21, 2012. The theories tend to rely on a combination of astronomy and philosophy, starting with the fact that the Mayan civilization's "long count" calendar ends its 5,126-year cycle on that date. This led to additional observations and beliefs about the position of the sun, the rotation of the Earth and the relationship between the north and south poles, all of which tie together into a phenomenon that will come to a head on Dec 21, 2012. NOTE************************************** I guess I should add that I don't truly believe this will happen, hopefully it will be like Y2K and nothing different will happen!! :)

I agree thoughout history people have tried to say when the end of age will be. So far none have hit and I don't think they every will. I go with the Bible. Jesus said "No one knows the day or the hour. there will be those that try and say they do. but only the Father in Heaven knows." So my guess would be it will not be this year or at least that day. But we need to be prepared always because our day and hour could be anytime. Love the Blingee! Great job!

Awesome blingee but I agree, it's a scary thought to think civilization could cease to exist as we know it! But, fortunately for us the Mayans gave up the writing their calendar, not that they thought the world would end! LOL
