The Phantoms of the Opera

The Phantoms of the Opera

I am an avid fan of all things Phantom (except for maybe the Dario Argento Phantom- you're just...no). I know there are a lot of other phans out there. Humor and sarcasm are definitely invited!

This is for all Phantom fans, whether you know what I'm talking about when I talk about the book written by Gaston Leroux and released in 1910 in France or whether you believe the best thing ever is the 2004 movie with Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler.

I would begin to list all of the Phantom movies, books, comics, tv shows, etc., but that would take way too long, so I'll just list the things that I've specifically seen or read. I've seen the 1925/29 Phantom movie with Lon Chaney and Mary Philbin, the 1936 Chinese movie (Midnight Sun), the 1943 movie with Claude Raines and Susanna Foster, the 1962 movie with Herbert Lom and Heather Sears, the 1989 movie with Robert Englund and Jill Schoelen, the 1990 miniseries with Charles Dance and Teri Polo, the 1998 dario argento movie with Julian Sands and Asio Argento, the 1998 animated movie, and the 2004 movie with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum. I've read (a little less than that) the 1910 (in france)/1911 (everywhere else) book by Gaston Leroux, the 1994/5/6 book (Angel of Music) by Carrie Hernandez, and the 2008 book (Letters to Erik: The Ghost's Love Story) by An Wallace.

I'm still working on seeing more movies and reading more books on the Phantom topic. On youtube there is a channel (Phantom Reviewer) that I love and highly recommend. He's very funny!

Well, that's all I can think to say right now, but everyone Phan is open to join this group.
