was born on 15th September 1998, he was the first orca to be born in the new friendship cove. He grew very quickly and when his half brother Algonquin was born the two became very close and became inseparable, often playing and chasing birds together.
After Algonquin died in 2002, Hudson changed, becoming more reliant on trainers and not being as active or interested anymore.
For some unknown reason after Algonquin died his mother Nootka V became very aggressive with her sons friend Hudson, and during a Christmas party event, Hudson jumped out of the tank. He was put into a stretcher and a crane was called to put him back, he wasn't hurt just scratches and rakes, but he was put in the tank with his father and separated from the females.
For the 2003 season he was moved to the King Waldorf Theatre to improve his performing skills, but Neocia was very dominant and attacked him so he was moved back with his father Kandu 7 and soon after he was reunited with his mother Kiska and Nootka.
Hudson learnt many new tricks but trainers were never allowed in the water with him as he liked to grab things that were around him and it was too risky for them. At the age of 6 he was also trained for AI and sperm collection began with him.
On October 20th he became ill and passed away. The park had to wait for test results for the cause of death which came back as meningitis.
He was only 6 years and 1 month old.
