..::Upon A Time::..

An older woman sat down amongst A rocking chair, pulling out A thick bright brown book covered with A satin bow. Five children sat at her feet, with hot chocolate and snuggled up in their own warm blankets. "Mother Mother! Please read us A new story!" The smaller one shoutted as he ran into the room in his baggy blue pajamas. "Children, children, settle down. You'll wake your father... I have A special story for cold winter nights". The children smiled amongst eachother, as she rocked in her chair glancing into the ember fireplace... As quick as the book opened the children quieted, and she began to read... "Once upon A time, In A land where love was forbidden by A great king.... A Princess named Rosette was soon to rule over the lands of red and green. The lands where set into the colours of fall, asthough always to see the brilliant bright reds... Rosette sat upon A tree limb, awaiting for Dae to finish his daily rounds. Dae was an odd man, always liking to venture off from the village and be A loner.. But ever Sense Dae met Rosette that had fallen into the lake and could'nt get out A year ago, they've been stuck together; And secrets had been made quite wisely. "Rosette! Rosette!" Dae shoutted as he came up behind her, catching her off guard she nearly fell from the tree. Clutching ahold of his shoulder as he came by to catch her. He laughed, but her face scowled him in A harsh glare. Nervously he looked off to the side with his skittering eyes. "Yes Dae!?" Rosette mumbled in rage over his actions. "Rosette ... Can I ask you something I've always wondered?" Rosette peered onto him, unlike usual his cheeks where red and his eyes looked at her longingly. "Yes Dae...?" .. He paused but slowly spoke.. "If you.. fell in love ... Would you die for love?" Dae whispered. Rosette knew love was forbidden due to the old king... Had found it nothing but trouble. He had sentanced anyone that fell in love to be sacraficed into the rift portal.. Where they where banished and forbidden to return... Rosette bit her tongue.. "Dae... Why do you ask this?" She questioned him. Dae had dreaded that reponse... "Because.. I .. Do Love you.. Rosette... I Would.. Die for you... I Would die for our love!" Dae shoutted at Rosette... She put her hand over his lips "Shh! They'll hear you!" Dae uncovered her hands, and shoutted even louder "Rosette! I LOVE YOU!".. As he did, Two guards came up behind him. Rosette's eyes looked at them shaking her head. "No! No! He's only joking!" She clutched ahold of Dae's hand, The guards saw through her desperate intention of fooling them. "Rosette! Do not lie for this peasent!" Dae began to grow in fear as he struggled against the guards, daring to not talk.. "He's not!" Rosette hollared at them. The guards looked at her A funny way... Before she knew, they had vanished with Dae... She turned her back, her bare feet hitting the ground as she ran. Her white dress frailed up behind her, as the wind rushed through her hair. ... She closed her eyes as she ran... Whispering to herself ' Dae.... Dae.... I love you ... too..' she mumbled beneath her breath.. Dae had been carried to A land not quite far, it was where the rift is, no trial would be held for such an obstructive action! Rosette barged through the crowd of people, her father had Dae on his knees infront of them. The rift was bright white oddly... It glew heavenly with gold and white. "Father please!" She shoutted drawing the Attention of Dae. His face was red, asthough he had been crying... Sadness filled his eyes, as he lowered his head to the ground. "Father! Can we not change this rule!? The old king is Dead Father!" The large man in the blue suit turned to her.. "My child... I Cannot..." Tears filled her eyes, she kneeled down infront of Dae. Putting her hands on his cheeks, She grew up the courage within her, and kissed his sweet shaking lips... Dae's eyes stayed open for A moment in Abit of shock, as Rosette did... "ROSETTE!" Her father screamed in Anquish. ... "I Love him too.." She put her forhead to Dae's placing her hand over his heart... "Dae... I Would die for love.." She helped him to his feet, releasing his shackles. As she did the guards went to grab her, she stepped back towards the rift as she began to fall off the clover covered clift. Dae reached for her hand, his body on the ground and rosette's over the edge... Struggling to pull her up fear lurked in his eyes "Rosette No... no... Not this" She smiled clutching onto his hand.. "Come with me... Die with me?" She asked him... tears ran down his nose and dripped onto her cheek... He pushed himself off the clift, grasping her in his arms. She was scared, and so was Dae.. But being without eachother, would of been Mental suicide-- "Mother! Mother! No! They cant die!" the littlest of the child stood up shaking his head. "Oh my son quiet! The story isnt over.." She chuckled looking down to him.. "But Mother please! They can't die!.." She sighed, nodding her head.. "That's enough of tonights story".. The kids Awe'd sadly, dragging their feet along the ground... She stood up.. and made her way into her room, where her husband slept. She put her lips to his forhead... Waking him up, he smiled at her... She lightly whispered to him "Remember the time.. You asked me.. If I'd die for love..." ..... He wrapped his arms around her.. Smiling on his sweet lips "My dear... Rosette..."...
